Part of what I love about camp ministry is that its impact is far-reaching. Campers are changed when they encounter Christ at camp, and summer staff and volunteers grow as leaders when they are allowed to serve. We could tell you why you should work at camp, but our past staff does a far better job!
Everyone says that Spring Heights is like their second home. After working there, I must agree. You will grow in your faith – I was shy about teaching in front of everyone, but in the end, my kids really enjoyed what I had to teach, and they loved Bible Study, and we had a lot of fun learning about God, Jesus, and all the Bible stories. It really makes you happy when you see them preach what you have taught them, and you feel accomplished and have a sense of pride.
Working at camp includes a lot of early mornings and late nights. When your campers do not want to go to bed, I promise that the kids you will miss the most are the much louder kids!
In my last week as a camp counselor, I had the best children ever, and they ended my amazing experience with an even more excellent way beyond experience!

* To apply, you must be 16 years old or older, a member of a Christian church, growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ, love children and youth, able to communicate well, flexible, willing to do whatever benefits Spring Heights Camp and Retreat Center and its summer program, and be available from mid-May through the beginning of August 2022. No particular experience is necessary. We are looking for Cabin Counselors, DaySpring Counselors, Lifeguards, Ropes Course Staff, Barn Staff, Health Service Providers, and more. Training is available for all positions!
