Our Conference

We are United Methodists who live, worship, and serve God in most of West Virginia and Garrett County, Maryland. We envision all people on a journey of Christ-like holiness. As a holy people we belong to, are filled by, and serve God. Living in this vision will equip us to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Connectional Ministries

The connectional ministries staff exists to help churches and districts live into the vision and mission of the WV Annual Conference.

The Book of Discipline 2008 (¶ 608) states that Connectional Ministries are to "provide encouragement, coordination, and support for the ministries of nurture, outreach, and witness in districts and congregations for the transformation of the world."  Connectional Ministries in the West Virginia Conference are directed by Dr. William H. Wilson.  Visit our staff directory for help in the areas of communications, ethnic ministries, evangelism, congregational development, spiritual formation, leadership development, volunteers-in-mission, and camping.
